ABUS armoured deadbolt lock PR2700

VdS recognised crossbar for house and apartment doors with ABUS Security Level 9. The ABUS PR2700 achieved the grade "very good" (1.4) and won the test in Stiftung Warentest (issue 01/2016 | test: 15 door additional security devices | www.test.de). Please note that the complete system is only VdS-recognised when a VdS-certified cylinder is used. All V410 cylinders delivered by ABUS Pfaffenhain after 31/12/2017 are no longer VdS certified.

ABUS PR2700 - Use & Application:

The armoured bar lock is suitable for use on wood, metal and plastic doors and is designed for door widths from 735 mm to 1,030 mm. The PR2700 can be used for doors opening inwards and outwards and protects the door on both the lock side and the hinge side against break-in attempts. The locking direction can be set to DIN right or DIN left. The drive components consist of particularly low-noise components, so the bar lock can be opened and closed very quietly.

The ABUS PR2700 can be ordered either with or without a cylinder; if you choose the variant with cylinder, it can be supplied with cylinders keyed alike (see below).

This cylinder is a high-end model; an emergency and danger function is integrated and the drill and pull protection measures used are at a high level. Additional security is provided by the dimple reversible key, which is used here as an individually coded locking system with a security card. It was manufactured and certified according to VdS-A standard.

ABUS PR2700 - Dimensions & Installation:

ABUS bar locks can be fitted to the door by anyone. A detailed operating and installation manual is included. This illustrated manual shows step by step how the PR2700 must be mounted on the door. There you will also find further information on suitable accessories.

The ABUS PR2700 bar lock is designed for door widths of 735 mm – 1030 mm and door leaf thicknesses of 35 mm – 50 mm. Greater door leaf thicknesses can be compensated with a different profile cylinder and corresponding spacer discs. In this case you should order the bar lock without a cylinder and add profile cylinders, spacer discs and additional screws separately according to the table.

Knob cylinder:

The ABUS PR2700 bar lock can optionally also be fitted with a knob cylinder. For a door thickness of 35 mm to 50 mm, a knob cylinder of the size outside = 60 mm; inside = 30 mm would be required, i.e. cylinder side 60 mm and knob side 30 mm. Suitable knob cylinders can be found here in the shop.

Keyed alike:

The ABUS PR2700 bar lock can be ordered either with or without a cylinder. Therefore the PR2700 can be manufactured keyed alike to any chosen cylinder. If you need two (or more) PR2700 bar locks keyed alike or would like them keyed alike to your front door, order the lock(s) in the variant without cylinder and order two (or more) keyed-alike cylinders of your choice in the appropriate lengths.

The ABUS PR2700 bar lock succeeded in a test by Stiftung Warentest (issue 01/2016 | test: 15 door additional security devices | www.test.de), achieving the grade very good (1.4) and becoming the test winner. In the test categories static load, attempted break-in with tools, cylinder cover, locking bracket and “information permanently legible on the product” the bar lock was rated very good. The categories installation manual and daily operation were rated good.
