ABUS Half-cylinder D6X

The half cylinder from ABUS's D6X series is the short version of the proven mechanical profile cylinder D6X with security level 2. Like the larger variant, it features a practical dimple reversible key and drill protection through hardened steel pins inside. The half cylinder can also be keyed alike with the double and knob cylinder of the D6X series as well as the padlock ABUS 86TI TITALIUM. (learn more).

ABUS D6X half cylinder - use & application:

The ABUS D6X half cylinder is equally suitable for use in apartment and house entrance doors as well as garage doors, garden gates and padlocks. The ABUS D6X is protected by a code card and can be duplicated without much effort. The reversible key with modern dimples ensures very easy operation.

ABUS D6X half cylinder - dimensions & installation:

The required cylinder length is determined by the door thickness and escutcheon/trim thickness; the measurement can easily be taken on the relevant door. Measure the cylinder length centrally from the lock screw to the outer edge of the escutcheon/trim in both directions (see diagram). To illustrate the system, the following table shows a selection of common cylinder lengths. Please note that no more than 3 mm of the cylinder should protrude beyond the escutcheon/trim, as it would otherwise provide an attack surface for tools.

Keying:

The ABUS D6X half cylinder can be ordered either keyed differently or keyed alike. When using several keyed-alike cylinders, all can be operated with the same key. For differently keyed cylinders, each cylinder has an individual key and can therefore only be operated with its respective key. Please note the following when ordering keyed-alike cylinders:

How do I order keyed-alike cylinders?

Add all required products from the D6X series in the keyed-alike variant to the shopping cart. All keyed-alike cylinders (e.g. double, half and knob cylinders) and the matching additional keys will then be coordinated within the order. If you need two or more different keyings, please place two separate orders. Please read the product description carefully to see which items are compatible. Please note: Keyed-alike cylinders are custom-made and therefore cannot be cancelled or returned!

How many keys will I receive?

You will receive 5 keys per cylinder for both keyed-alike and differently keyed variants. If you need more keys, these must be added to the order separately as additional keys. To have keys subsequently duplicated for existing cylinders, please add replacement keys as per sample to your order and follow the ordering process specified in the product description.

If you already own D6X cylinders or items fitted with them and would like to order additional cylinders, we can have these manufactured for you for a small surcharge.
