Product information "ABUS armoured bolt lock PR2700"
VdS-recognised crossbar lock for house and apartment doors with ABUS Security-Level 9. The ABUS PR2700 achieved the grade "very good" (1.4) and won the test in the Stiftung Warentest (issue 01/2016 | test: 15 door additional locks | www.test.de). Please note that the complete system is only VdS-recognised when a VdS-certified cylinder is used. All V410 cylinders delivered by ABUS Pfaffenhain after 31/12/2017 are no longer VdS-certified.
ABUS PR2700 - Use & Application:
The armoured crossbar lock is suitable for use on wood, metal and plastic doors and is intended for door widths from 735 mm to 1,030 mm. The PR2700 can be used on doors that open inwards and outwards and protects the door at both the lock side and the hinge side from forced entry attempts. The locking direction can be set to DIN right / DIN left. The drive components consist of particularly low-noise components, so the crossbar can be opened and closed very quietly.
The ABUS PR2700 can be ordered either with or without cylinder. If you choose the version with cylinder, it can be supplied with keyed-alike cylinders (see below).

ABUS Pfaffenhain BRAVUS.2000 double cylinder 30/60
This cylinder is a high-end model; the emergency and danger function is integrated and the drill and pull protection measures used here are at a high level. Additional security is provided by the dimple reversible key, which is used here as an individually coded keying with a security card. It was manufactured and certified according to the VdS-A standard.
ABUS PR2700 - Dimensions & Installation:
ABUS armoured crossbar locks can be fitted to the door by anyone. A detailed operating and installation manual is included. This illustrated guide shows step by step how the PR2700 must be mounted on the door. You will also find further information on suitable accessories there.
The ABUS PR2700 crossbar is designed for door widths of 735 mm – 1030 mm and door leaf thicknesses of 35 mm – 50 mm. Thicker door leaf thicknesses can be compensated for with a different profile cylinder and corresponding spacer washers. In this case you should order the crossbar without cylinder and add profile cylinders, spacer washers and additional screws separately according to the table.

Knob cylinder:
The ABUS PR2700 crossbar can optionally also be equipped with a knob cylinder. For a door thickness of 35 mm to 50 mm a knob cylinder of the size outside = 60 mm; inside = 30 mm would be required, i.e. cylinder side 60 mm and knob side 30 mm. Suitable knob cylinders can be found here in the shop.
Keyed alike:
The ABUS PR2700 crossbar lock can be ordered either with or without cylinder. Therefore the PR2700 crossbar can be produced keyed alike with any chosen cylinder. If you need two (or more) PR2700 crossbar locks keyed alike or want them keyed alike to your front door, then order the crossbar(s) without cylinder and separately order two (or more) keyed-alike cylinders of your choice in the appropriate lengths.
ABUS PR2700 in the test:
In a test by Stiftung Warentest (issue 01/2016 | test: 15 door additional locks | www.test.de) the ABUS PR2700 crossbar achieved the grade very good (1.4) and was the test winner. In the test categories Static load, Burglary attempt with tools, Cylinder cover, Restrictor bar and "Information permanently legible on the product" the crossbar was rated very good. The test categories Installation manual and daily operation scored well.
