Product information "ABUS window auxiliary lock 2420 keyed alike"
The popular 2520 window lock from ABUS has now been replaced by its successor, the 2420. Fundamentally they are identical; the window locks differ only in a modification to the construction. Instead of a pin, a strong screw is now used in the middle of the additional window lock; this is intended to prevent the lock from jamming after extended use. The resistance of the additional window lock does not change, as it is mainly held by the two screws above and below the centre bar.
ABUS 2420 - Use & Application:
Like its predecessor, the 2420 is specifically intended for securing double-leaf windows with a centre bar. Due to its compact dimensions it is also suitable for double-leaf windows with a narrow centre bar. The 2420 is locked by operating the swivel bolt and opened with the supplied keys. It can be fitted to windows made of aluminium, plastic or wood.
ABUS 2420 - Dimensions & Installation:
The additional window lock is fitted exclusively to the centre bar; the sashes are not drilled. Installation is relatively easy to carry out yourself, but if in doubt you should consult a craftsman.
