ABUS window bar lock FOS650 keyed alike

The robust additional window lock FOS650 is ideal for securing patio and balcony doors. The solid bolts protect the window from three sides and can withstand a pressure resistance of over one tonne. This means the lock is able to endure pressure loads and lever attacks from outside even over extended periods.

The ABUS bar lock can be ordered either with or without a window bar set. To ensure the full functionality of the ABUS FOS650, the bar lock must be combined with and installed together with a corresponding window bar set.

ABUS FOS650 - Use & Application:

The ABUS FOS650 window bar lock is used flexibly on inward-opening windows and patio/window doors. The modern, unobtrusively designed window lock is hardly noticeable after installation and can be mounted flexibly on a wide range of windows and patio/window doors. The ABUS FOS650 can be used for DIN right and DIN left and can be keyed alike with other ABUS products.

With its secure anchoring points, the ABUS bar lock reliably protects windows and patio/window doors. Operation is intuitive and can be carried out with one hand via the lockable window handle.

Please note: The ABUS FOS650 is unfortunately not suitable for installation on double-sash windows!

ABUS FOS650 - Dimensions & Installation:

For installation you need the bar lock itself and a matching bar set. Please select the desired colour and the bar set in the existing sash height above. The sash height is determined from the square spindle; i.e. the distance from the square spindle to the lower or upper edge of the window sash. During installation the bars are shortened accordingly. The bar set is available in various lengths.

Installation can be carried out yourself with sufficient DIY skill – if in doubt, however, you should commission a specialist to carry out the installation. Window bar sets:

* The sash height is measured from the square spindle of the window handle. Distances are measured from the handle to the top or bottom edge of the window sash. For shorter sash heights the bars are shortened accordingly.

Keying:

The window bar lock ABUS FOS650 is supplied as standard in the 'endlich-sicher' house keying. This means items already purchased keyed to our house keying can be used keyed alike with the ABUS FOS550. With a single key you can thus open various ABUS locks supplied with the house keying. Which products are supplied with the house keying is indicated in the respective product description.

Other products:

For the FOS650 the floor strike plate ABUS BSB550 is available as an optional accessory. Instead of a window bar lock, the windows can be secured with telescopic bars (e.g. ABUS Tele-Z 140) or additional window locks (e.g. ABUS FTS3003) as well as additional hinge-side security devices (e.g. ABUS FAS101 & ABUS FAS97).
