• For machining carbide (HM) and ceramics, pre- and fully sintered, glass, graphite and electrographite, thermosetting plastics, especially with glass- or carbon-fibre reinforcement (GFRP and CFRP), ferrite (magnetic material), superalloys based on nickel or titanium, grey and spheroidal cast iron; diamond is not effective on cast steel; wear-protection coatings (spray- and weld-applied alloys)
• Use of coolant improves the grinding result and increases the tool life
• Cutting speed dry grinding: 8 to 18 m/s, 30 to 80 m/s for GFRP and CFRP
• Cutting speed wet grinding: 15 to 25 m/s
• For grinding holes, radii and contours
