Hoppe Austin 0769S/UD9024 lockable aluminium tilt-and-turn window handle with SecuForte and VarioFit
This lockable window handle is a model from Hoppe’s Austin range, manufactured from aluminium. The window handle corresponds to use category 2 (according to DIN EN 13126-3: 23/180-0132/33/C1), has a high corrosion resistance (according to RAL-GZ 607/9, RAL200) and meets the burglary resistance standard DIN EN 1627-1630 RC1-6. Thanks to the length-variable Hoppe full spindle (10 mm length variability, stepless adjustment via an integrated compression spring in the handle neck) and the concealed M5 threaded screws, installation can be carried out very easily.
HOPPE SecuForte - Press first, then turn for increased window security
Window handles equipped with the SecuForte standard offer a patented new security feature to deter break-ins: in both the closed and tilted positions the square spindle and the handle itself are decoupled. This automatically locks the handle. As a result, burglary attempts by sliding the window fittings or by puncturing the glass or drilling the frame are rendered virtually impossible.
This is achieved by the patented "press first, then turn" principle, whereby the window handle must first be pressed towards the escutcheon before it can be operated.
This principle is also often used for medicines and cleaning products. It is also advantageous that the handle lock is always engaged automatically: after the handle operation is completed the spindle and handle are separated again. Therefore, before the handle can be operated again it must be pressed towards the escutcheon once more.
