The TS 4000 from GEZE is an overhead rod door closer that is available in two different closing force levels.
GEZE TS 4000 - Use & Application:
The GEZE TS 4000 features an infinitely variable closing force adjustable from the front and a thermostabilised closing speed, and is easy for beginners to operate thanks to its optical size indicator. The door closer can be used for configurations with DIN right and DIN left on doors up to a door width of 1400 mm. Due to the universally applicable design of the door closer, it can be mounted either on the hinge side or on the opposite hinge side.
GEZE TS 4000 - Dimensions & Installation:
Possible mounting types are leaf mounting on the hinge side / header mounting on the opposite hinge side / leaf mounting on the opposite hinge side (in parallel arm mounting). The precise latching adjustment is made via the linkage. Installation on fire doors is possible using the optional mounting plate (available separately). You do not need to pay attention to the DIN handing, as the door closer can be used in both directions. How to adjust GEZE door closers can be read in our endlich-sicher-Blog.
To determine the correct door closer strength, you must first measure the door width. If this is less than or equal to 1400 mm we recommend a closing force of EN 1-6. If strong draughts are to be expected at the installation site, we recommend a closing force of EN 5-7. For a door width between 1400 mm and 1600 mm, a GEZE TS 4000 in the strength EN 5-7 should be fitted.
Please note: If you want to replace an existing GEZE door closer that was produced BEFORE the year 2000-2002, we recommend ordering a new linkage/slide rail and a mounting plate in addition to the door closer, as some changes have been made and the old fittings are no longer compatible!
