Spax Universalschraube BLAX - Features
The SPAX-typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal six-lobed profile. This shape increases the contact area for our T-STAR plus, and the T-STAR plus bits sit perfectly in the screw head. The optimum transfer of force from driver to screw via T-STAR plus enables quick work, and does so significantly more efficiently than all other drives.
The countersunk head (or flat countersunk head) mills a recess into the wood with its polygonal underside ("pockets") and can therefore be sunk without additionally countersinking the screw hole. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface.
Unlike partial thread, the full thread extends over the entire length of the screw. The more thread turns a screw has, the greater the tensile and compressive forces that can be transferred from the screw to the wood. Our full-thread screws are used primarily for high-load wood connections.
The term 4CUT stands for the square-shaped formation of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibres during insertion and create space for the core diameter of the screw. The splitting pressure exerted by the core in the wood is thus reduced and splitting of the wood near edges is prevented. The required torque of the cordless screwdriver is also reduced, as the core of the screw does not have to be "squeezed" into the wood.
