The SPAX-typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal six-lobed drive. This shape increases the contact area on our T-STAR plus, and the T-STAR plus bits sit perfectly in the screw head. The best possible transmission of power from the driver to the screw via T-STAR plus enables fast working, and this is considerably more efficient than with all other drives.

The countersunk head (or flat countersunk head) mills a recess into the wood with its polygonal underside ("pockets") and can therefore be countersunk without additionally countersinking the screw hole. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface.

Partially threaded screws are excellently suited for fastening thin components such as engineered wood panels, boards or floorboards to thicker components such as squared timber or beams. The short thread screws into the thicker component, while the unthreaded shank remains in the attached component. This creates maximum clamping pressure between the two. The unthreaded part should be at least the thickness of the attached component.

The term 4CUT stands for the square-shaped profile of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibres during insertion and create space for the core diameter of the screw. The spreading pressure exerted by the core in the wood is thus reduced and splitting of the wood near edges is prevented. The torque required from the cordless screwdriver is also reduced, because the screw's core does not have to be "squeezed" into the wood.
