The SPAX-typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal six-lobed drive. This shape increases the contact area of our T-STAR plus, and the T-STAR plus bits sit optimally in the screw head. The best possible transfer of power from driver to screw provided by T-STAR plus enables quick working, and is significantly more efficient than all other drives.

The countersunk head (or flat countersunk head) mills a recess into the wood with its polygonal underside ("pockets") and can therefore be countersunk without additionally pre-countersinking the screw hole. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface.

Screws with partial thread are excellently suited for attaching thin components such as wood-based panels, boards or decking to thicker components such as squared timber or beams. The short thread screws into the thicker component, while the unthreaded shank remains in the attached component. This produces the maximum clamping pressure between the two. The unthreaded part should be at least the thickness of the attached component.

The term 4CUT refers to the square-shaped design of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibres during driving and create space for the core diameter of the screw. The expansion pressure exerted by the core in the wood is thus reduced and splitting of the wood near the edge is prevented. The required torque of the cordless screwdriver is also reduced, since the core of the screw does not have to be "squeezed" into the wood.
