The Spax T-STAR plus A2 stainless steel screw with 4CUT and MULTI head is suitable for outdoor use and provides protection against corrosion even under direct exposure to the elements. The T-STAR drive ensures secure tool engagement with optimal power transmission. The ribbed shank profile guarantees fast and secure driving with little effort. Pre-drilling is not necessary (depends on the wood) and thus saves a lot of time. The tip of this screw effectively reduces splitting of the wood. The MULTI head has recessed pocket segments. Edges form between the individual segments which create a milling action when they hit wood and provide braking on metal. This shape increases the contact area of our T-STAR plus, and the T-STAR plus bits sit perfectly in the screw head. The best possible power transmission from driver to screw provided by T-STAR plus allows fast working, and is significantly more efficient than all other drives.While the flat countersunk screw is designed to sit flush, the oval countersunk head offers a convex curvature. Depending on the screw type and surface finish (stainless steel, nickel-plated, antique), these screws can become a decorative element, for example in furniture making or when fixing skirting boards.In contrast to partial thread, the full thread extends over the entire length of the screw. The more thread turns a screw has, the greater the tensile and compressive forces that can be transmitted from the screw to the wood. Our full-thread screws are mainly used for highly loaded wood connections.The term 4CUT refers to the square-shaped formation of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibres during driving and create space for the screw's core diameter. The splitting pressure exerted by the core in the wood is thus reduced and splitting of the wood near the edge is prevented. Der Unterschied besteht darin, dass sich die vier Flanken der Schrauberklinge zur Spitze hin nicht verjüngen. So erhöht sich der seitliche Halt für den Bit, der Cam-out-Effekt wird reduziert. Der entsteht bei konventionellen Kreuzschlitz-Kraftangriffen durch die Verjüngung, weil das Drehmoment des Akkuschraubers den Schrauberbit nach oben drückt.Der Senkkopf (oder auch Flach-Senkkopf) fräst sich mit seiner polygonen Unterseite („Taschen“) eine Vertiefung in das Holz und kann deshalb ohne zusätzliches Ansenken des Schraublochs versenkt werden.
